Cookie Policy
How Capturly uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you stay in control.

This Cookie Policy is part of, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. We keep our use deliberately minimal: recording happens locally on your device, and our analytics are cookieless.
Strictly necessary
Required for the site and app to work — you cannot turn these off. They keep you signed in, secure your session (CSRF protection), remember your cookie choices, and keep recording surfaces functioning. These are not used for tracking.
Functional
Enable optional conveniences. Our support chat (Chatwoot) sets a cookie to maintain your conversation. It loads only after you grant the “functional” category, and never on recording pages.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate usage. Plausible is cookieless and does not track you across sites or build a profile of you. It runs only after you grant the “analytics” category.
Managing your preferences
When required by your region, we show a consent banner on your first visit (opt-in in the EU/UK; opt-out elsewhere). You can change your choices at any time from the cookie-preferences control in the banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant non-essential technologies.
